First Draft of Documentary + Evaluation

Evaluation:

This is the first draft of our documentary. While what it is lacking can simply be blamed on it being incomplete, there are a few things that we want to change. The video is lacking in variance. The interview shots are all fairly simple and lack any backing tracks. This makes the video relatively unentertaining to watch. We plan on editing in more B-roll footage of Duncan as well as including some gameplay. This will make cuts in the audio less obvious as well as give the audience something to keep them focused.

Targets:

  • Add variance to documentary
  • Edit more B-roll footage
  • Film more gameplay
  • Capture more different angles for the interviews

Costume and Make Up

Our documentary is basic in terms of storyline and built up characters, therefore there is no make up s such used on any of the actors. The costumes used alternate between the theme of school and the theme of being casual. For example, our main character (Duncan) is wearing a plain white school shirt on some scenes, whereas in other scenes he is wearing a casual dark green pullover. Also, the psychologist (Mr Martyn Stewart) is in formal attire as he is of a position of authority and is also in school.
